TRAVEL TO IRELAND
We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome everyone to Ireland this June, and we can’t wait to share the joy of our wedding with you all amid the charm and splendor of this storied island. We hope you’ll take full advantage of those long summer days to explore, to wander, and to soak in all the beauty this land has to offer.
The celebrations will take place in the bustling city of Dublin and at the splendid Cabra Castle Hotel in Kingscourt, County Cavan. With that in mind, we’d recommend arriving through Dublin Airport a few days before the big day, giving yourselves a chance to settle in and enjoy the warmth of this wonderful country before the festivities begin.
We've reserved a block of rooms at the following hotels:
Cabra Castle Hotel in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan - Click here for more information
O’Callaghan Collection in Dublin, Co. Dublin - Click here for more information
There are plenty of other places to stay in the area, from cozy bed and breakfasts to private homes available on Airbnb and VRBO, all within a stone’s throw of the festivities.
This website will be updated periodically.
Additional information will be shared via email.

Places to Stay
The O’Callaghan Collection - We’ve secured a special group discount at four beautiful Dublin hotels in the O’Callaghan Collection: The Green, The Davenport, The Mont, and The Alex. All are conveniently located within walking distance of the welcome drinks at Lennan’s Yard and close to Dublin’s main attractions. Please follow this link to make your booking.
If you’re looking for more options, Dublin offers a range of accommodations to suit every budget. The Westbury and Shelbourne Hotels are renowned five-star establishments right in the heart of the city. For a more eclectic and trendy vibe, consider The Schoolhouse Hotel & Gastropub or Camden Court Hotel, both just outside the city center. Additionally, The Grafton and The Brooks Hotels offer great value and are ideally situated in the heart of the action.
Dinner at The Vintage Kitchen - Sara and Sean highly recommend this eclectic hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the heart of Dublin. Tucked away in an alley outside of the touristy area, The Vintage Kitchen offers a cozy and intimate dining experience—it quickly became our favorite restaurant in Ireland. Reservations are essential, as the space is small but well worth it!
Bread 41 - Dublin’s most talked about bakery. We discovered Bread 41 through our favorite Atlanta Bakery, Colette Bread and Bakeshop in Poncey-Highlands.
The Guinness Storehouse - Naturally, no trip to Ireland is complete until you’ve toured the Guinness brewery in Dublin and enjoying a proper pint.
Dublin Literary Pub Crawl - Since 1988, they’ve been rambling the streets of the capital and bringing to life the literary history of the city. This walking tour will stop by The Duke, one of our favorite pubs in Dublin, and is a wonderful way to experience the culture and history of the city while also enjoying a few pints.
The Book of Kells Experience - If you’d like to step away from the pubs and see some history, the Book of Kells Experience is a great way to tour the historic Trinity College Dublin and it’s famously stunning library.
St. Patrick’s Cathedral - Standing for 800 years as a tribute to Ireland’s patron saint, this Gothic masterpiece is Dublin’s largest cathedral and a must-see while in Dublin.
Dublin is a city that lives and breathes music. From traditional Irish folk sessions in cozy pubs to world-class live performances in historic venues, there’s something for everyone. For a classic Irish music experience, check out The Cobblestone, a beloved spot known for its authentic sessions, or O’Donoghue’s, famous for its connection to The Dubliners. Devitts and The Celt also offer fantastic live trad music in the heart of the city. For those looking for a bigger night out, spots like Whelan’s and The Olympia Theatre host incredible acts across all genres.
We hope you find time to explore Dublin while you're here. Wander through the lively streets of Temple Bar or browse the shops on Grafton Street. Take a walk in St. Stephen’s Green, visit Trinity College, or enjoy the nightlife on Camden Street. Whatever you end up doing, we hope you enjoy your time in Ireland!
Cabra Castle
We decided to tie the knot in Ireland and picked the stunning Cabra Castle because we wanted to share a one-of-a-kind experience with the people who mean the most to us. We’re excited to make this the first of many moments we’ll treasure together on this beautiful, historic island. And with our wedding just after the summer solstice, the days will be long, giving us all the chance to explore and make even more memories.
If you’d like to learn a little more about the history of the castle, please follow this link.
We’re beyond excited to see you all this upcoming June.
Sincerely,
Sara & Sean
